My Story
Stay the course to Greatness
I grew up in Portland, Oregon and Los Angeles, California. I spent a lot of time trying to find my place in this world. I had. a lot of help becoming the man I am today and decided that I would dedicate my life to helping others achieve their goals as I have mine. My next goal is bigger and loftier than I would have ever imagined. I want to create a network of organizations and professionals to help athletes become professionals in professional sports, coaching, finance, technology, etc. We need a place that can help train the mind, the body and the soul to achieve more than we have ever imagined. We need to help us get there. As I build this company we will grow together. My team is strong and knowledgable and passionate about the pursuit of excellence. Join us and Stay the Course.

Core Values
WeGotUs has 4 core values that serve as our backbone to a healthy life. Respect, Integrity, responsibility, and servant leadership. Treating others better than they treat us. Embracing our opportunities to contribute and serve the common good in preparation for becoming our best selves.
Why
WeGotUs was founded by Sandra Menee-Nelson and Tom Nelson, who want to help young people on and off the basketball court. They have noticed that young people can become a part of a family, when we share our values and show how much we care. We began coaching them on the court but end up coaching them through life. This became our Why.
Who
All young people need what we provided them through our vast experience and deep commitment. They just need someone to care and to show them respect, teach them integrity, responsibility, and how to be a strong leader. This became our Who.
When
We have been doing this for the past 16 years for hundreds of young people. We always believe in our players and strongly encourage them to do amazing things on the court and off.
We finally decided to create a team of Us, that knows we always have each other’s backs. This is when we decided to create our nonprofit and from there, we have our when.
